Japanning with POR-15
ydb1md
>I purchased an old plane that was in dire need of some re-japanning. Rather than going the route of traditional (dangerous, smelly, foul, etc) japanning, I wanted something a little easier. Enamel paint isn't tough enough so I tried something that I had in the garage -- POR-15. It looks good and is really tough. As an additional benefit, it's ideal for use over rust or oxidation as it adheres best to this sort of surface.
Has anyone else tried this on their planes?
