I've seen type studies for a small few of the common planes, though a majority I wouldn't have a clue where to turn for finding if a plane was built between 1910-1918. e.g. where would you go to type study say a #131 or a #66? Is there an on-line source?

fwiw, I have a recent MWTCA newsletter that has a #64 types study, a book on #45 types, and multiple URLs for bench planes.

>I think what he is saying is that all the planes have the " V " logo on the cutter. For bench planes this was used on the type 11's from 1910-19. Other planes used the same logo during about the same time period [1910-19] but they may not be type 11's persay.... For instance the no. 9 1/2 plane used this trade mark on the type 17 planes but again they were made in 1910-19 period ......Todd

>Pictures of the move. I'm afraid I cannot find them. I searched GIC and no dice. I thought Steve Reynolds had posted some pics there but oh well. Perhaps Sir William can help. He was one of the witnesses (although I'm sure he would deny that under oath). Personally, I want a picture of the saws...filling the pick-up/trailer and in their new home. If I ever see those pics again, I'll print them off and frame them in the shop.
