>Nothing fancy about these sheep. Mom is mostly Dorsett with a bit of Suffolk and dad is Suffolk. The crosses make cute lambs, and good breeding stock. If the Suffolk dominates the lambs are born black, Dorsett white, but they all grow up with white bodies and black or brown heads, except for the occasional "black sheep". We used to get $1 a pound for wool when the Chinese were buying but of late it is less than 50 cents and hardly worth hauling to market, or the aggravation shearing. It makes good pads for wipe-on finish.
