>Further down the page you may have noticed a discussion about linenfold panels (at least that's where it has gone). Your website is linked showing a bunch of panels you did. Any chance of seeing the piece they went into? Looks mighty impressive and now I've got another project to add to my list (193 and counting).

Thanks,

That was a fun project. The linenfolds themselves aren't all that complicated, but can take a bit of patience to complete... The project I made the panels for is actually a closet door that's located in our living room. Here's a pic of it, though the lighting isn't all that good:

Here's a better shot of them, taken while they were still in the shop:

Here's a close-up of one of the ends of the panels:

I did an article on making the - it might be kind of hard to find on the main page, but its located here:

Making linenfold panels

They were a LOT of fun to make, and not really all that hard to do - though I think I could have chosen a better wood to do them in than red oak (hard to carve!).

>They look great Leif. I had seen the 'in shop' photos on your site (which I love BTW). I wasn't sure if they were to be doors or panels for a cabinet. VERY nice work indeed.

Seems like a common choice, however. I think of the historic buildings in England that I've been in, and many here on this side of the pond, and it seems like oak panelling with linenfold was pretty standard. I have thoughts of doing some for a room in my house, and have bookmarked your page, Leif. Thanks for providing it!
