>Hi Vlad,
When are you coming to town?
Go to Granville Island and checkout the Wood Co-op. Lotsa nice pieces for sale by woodworkers. Also a couple of shops on the island and a couple of Luthier's.
The Joint also has some nice stuff.
If you are looking for old tools they are scarce. Never had much luck at the Vancouver Flea market and would not waste my time there. The Cloverdale Flea market can have some nice stuff but you will be heading the opposite way of Whistler (45 minutes or so) and prices can be high as the sellers truly believe they have gold. Fort Langley which is 30 minutes past Cloverdale has a nice antique mall with a guy who sells hand tools.
Think that is it. If you are in Vancouver and have time for lunch a bunch of us Galoots do have lunch on a regular basis and could make a point of meeting up with you

As for lunch I afraid I'm stuck in meetings Monday and Tuesday. The only real day I have to myself is Sunday and that's when I plan to go "carving". If any Vancouver termites would like to join an Eastern Ice Skier that would be most welcome.
Cheers

>Gorgeous work at that place HC. I don't think they'd let a butcher like me in there! If I have time Monday evening I'll have to see some of that sweet stuff.

>You have fun "carving" Vlad. I have Super Bowl plans.
Just a little inside tip. Whistler lift tickets are cheaper at the 7/11 located in Squamish 45 minutes north of Whistler. It'll also allow you to avoid the lines at the ticket office in WHistler and allow you to start skiing at Whistler Creek unless they have changed the parking restrictions at Whister Creek
The 7/11 in Squamish will be on your left just past McDonald's
Have Fun!
