Closed Handled DT Saw *LINK*

Vlad

>After seeing some very nice work from Mike and Derek, I wanted to share a pic of a closed handled DT saw I made last night - needed a break from planing boards. I see areas for improvement but overall I'm 75% happy. Thanks for viewing

Dark, very dark.

Derek Cohen (in Perth Australia)

>Whoo, Vlad, that DT saw is Seriously Gothic... dark, very dark. No wonder the power users refer to us as "Darksiders"!

I really like the flowing lines of your tenon saw. Very sweet.

Thanks for sharing.

Brilliant Idea!!

Vlad

>So I gave it to my butler, James, last night to open me a Bourgouis Stella Artois Rheinheitsgebot Cold Filtered Honey Cream Ale, and it worked to my surprise. I gotta use this in my promotional material. Whadday say Todd?

Seriously, I did say I was 75% happy with it. Although that was the 75% I liked :o)

Good to hear your opinion Todd

Vlad

>No. Sorry. After 4 years and making hundreds of the same styles I got bored and as I mentioned in a previous post, quirky saws have interested me lately. I make a saw here and there when I get bored with a WW project. I think it helps me with my ADD :o)

I suppose "sick" is the latest term? Last month I was called a "bomb" and before that "bad"...LOL

I especially like...

Bob Hackett(Mainely,Bob)

>The pierced scrollwork on the back, reminds me of the fancy filework knifemakers used to do.

Can`t help but wonder what a damascus steel back might add to that look.

Re: That's sick Vlad...

Richard Rerra

>Yeah Vlad "that's the joint" ....a New York City 1970's term meaning the end ....like you got life in the joint (jail) Later replaced by "def" meaning definatly or to some again meaning the end as in death...all depended who yer "hoodies" were (bro's,.. I mean compatriots) and your "76" (location) This is now perfectly clear.
