Adam/Chris - Striking knife ?'s
Doug Littlejohn
>First of all, great article Adam (not to mention all of yours). In the article, you give a dimensioned drawing for both versions of the knife, one owned by yourself and the other by Chris.
My question is to the thickness dimensions. You show a max thickness of 5/32" for your knife (A) and 1/4" for Chris' (B). However, the scale of the drawings would NOT indicate such a large difference in thicknesses, in that the thicknesses shown would indicate that Chris' was almost twice as thick as yours. Is this really correct??
I ask for 2 reasons, 1), this will greatly affect how the tool feels in the hand and handles and 2), it affects what size stock I order to make them from.
Thanks for your answers and anyone else's input as well.
