Hamilton marking gauges *LINK*

Pam Niedermayer - Austin, TX

>Last week on another woodworking forum I won a marking gauge made by Jeff Hamilton. This was a complete surprise since I didn't even know about the contest, my name was drawn. It arrived today and is a sweet little gauge. The 4" arm is captured in a sliding dovetail, quite smooth operation, a single cutter with a single adjusting nut, the 3" fence is quartersawn and shaped to accomodate hands and fingers. This is going to be a pleasure to use, and it's always a joy when a new, small toolmaker comes online.

>Yes!! I got one too. Sweet tool!!

Jeff does a great job. Great guy.

I also watched him demo hand cut dovetails last fall.
