Just a comment.... while that caliper carries the Starrett name, it's one of the "Global Series".... I believe that one's made in China...
Nothing wrong with Chinese measuring products at all - but even at the reduced price, it still strikes me as pricey for a Chinese dial caliper ...

It is made in China.. and I seriously considered the LV calipers in my LV recent order (Had to get those winding sticks! & your excellent saw bag). Thx for reviewing the post and your comments. The LV is $26 cheaper...but I wanted a Starrett
