MWTCA at Ft. Meade, FL This Weekend

>Hi All! Just wondering if any of you are going to be making it to the MWTCA tool meet down here in Ft. Meade on the weekend. It is at the Flywheelers park. This show is very cloe to home, so I will be there on Saturday or possibly Sunday morning (my second choice).

>Never having been to anything remotely like an MWTCA meet, I'd love to -- but it's 4 hours' drive north, and my sister will be in town this weekend. I don't think I've ever seen anything - not an MWTCA meet, not an old tool swap, not a woodworking show -- nothing south of, say, Vero Beach. Nothing in Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, or even Naples or Sarasota! With all the retirees who came to South Florida and brought all their money with them, one would think ...

Sigh ...

I Know . . .

>Living in Florida and having a love of old tools is disappointing. There are not too many opportunities to find old rust down here. There is Barberville (even further for you) and Ft. Meade, and one in Bluntstown and Mt. Dora. I have somehow lucked out and just bumped into good finds accidentally myself, but I am not holding my breath hoping that will happen again. This will be fund partly casue it is so close to me and not a long pain in the **s drive to get to. ANything I can look for for you when I am there?
