>When they were growing up, none of my kids were very interested in woodworking. My oldest daughter ahs developed an interest and now that she has a house, will probably get more involved. One more is getting interested and that is the reason for this post.
I have a son in the Coast Guard, stationed in Seattle that wants to build a couple of things for his apartment. He does not have much space, and also not a lot of money, so I am suggesting to him that he get a few hand tools as he would not need a lot to make what he wants. I was wondering if there was anyone in the Seattle area (he lives in Poulsbo and works in Seattle) that might be willing to give him a few pointers and maybe show him how to sharpen edge tools and maybe tune a block plane. It would be nice if he develops an interest, but it is a bit far for me to go out on weekends to try and show him. (From Michigan ;-))
If anyone is interested/willing, ping me via e-mail and I will get him in touch with you. Thanks.
