>Thanks for your kind words. Derek and Scott. As for pushing the plane: the first profile I cut out was a bit too square for comfortable pushing of the plane. I had to cut out a more downward sloping profile towards the back end of the plane. Pushing the plane is a lot easier now by gripping the plane by it's sides and then pushing against the downward sloping back part of the plane. I was thinking that if after a few weeks of testing this baby out I wan't more of a grip I can always either rout or carve out an indent or bullnose groove onto the sides or in the very worst case scenario, there's still enough meat left in this plane to convert it into a razee plane. But I'm still learning so, I figure this will continue to be a work in progress.

Derek, I had a more detailed write up on my site. And I really have to make some time to sharpen up these plane blades and make some shavings.
