>Does anyone know when Sargent changed from a right hand to a left hand thread on the blade adjustment screw? I have a 414 with a right hand thread and the fork is cast or forged, not two piece like my 409 with the left hand thread. I was also suprised to find that the lateral adjustment cam is quite a bit wider than the slot in a Stanley blade.
