>I have a cheap hobby woodburning kit that I use occasionally and I've had for years. It works but it's slow and clumsy and burns your hand if you're not real careful. Does anyone have any experience with a better quality version of this tool?I'd like to upgrade mine.Thanks---Jack

>Jack, go check the Turning forum. Lots of the turners over there decorate their pieces by burning them, and will have many useful recommendations. I've seen several discussions on wood burners.

>Thanks William.I posted this same question on the main messages forum and got some excellent responses.I guess woodburning isn't common amongst galoots. It does require a cord. However,I suppose one could heat various homemade irons in a fire and do some neanderthal pyrography.---Jack
