Stanley #46 to the rescue
Jim Reed @ Tallahassee
>I took Wednesday off to take care of some move in issues. One was the kittie box (done) and the other was a pantry shelf. The shelf was 7 feet tall and 28" wide with six graduated shelves and was made out of 1x4 pine furring strips. I cut the pieces to length with a chop saw, clamped the sides on the top of my bench, marked out the dados, sawed them together with a handsaw & batten, and then cleaned up the dados with a #46 using one of my homemade 1/2" blades. It went quickly--the whole project took less than an hour. Now the floor is full of shavings and the shelf is full of canned goods.
