>Hello,
I am building for the first time a couple of raised frame panel doors out of American Walnut (Juglans nigra).
What is the average horizontal shrinkage of this species? This is particularity important because I am raising the panel with a handplane (10 1/4) and hence the panel isn't flat at the edges as it would be with a router bit.
How much should I let the panel 'rattle' given that we are now in the dry part of the year (even though it is quite wet outside) ?
