new chair devil

>I tried to work on my photography, but so far it hasn't helped too much. I am sorry, can't find my owner's manual, so I'll have to dig around online for the ol' S30 instructions. I tried the manual settings, but didn't do very well with the focus I'm afraid, and it was raining out so I didn't want to lug out the tripod...
Anyway, here's a pic of my old Ralston chair devil, and the new one I mostly modeled after it. I wanted a smaller radius one to work on the small end of the windsor spindles, without leaving a very flat facet. It's about a half inch radius, whereas the Ralston might be a 3/4 inch radius. I made it out of hornbeam and lignum vitae, and used some brass hardware I had already in the shop. Seems to work great, probably won't give it a real workout for a few more weeks, until it's time to fit a chair. I'll use it a bit before I put any finish on it, in case I want to adjust the shape a bit...
Thanks for looking...
