#45 or #55?

>Hi everyone, I imagine this has been mulled over a time or two in the archives but I have not been able to find it so here we go again: I have woken up to the fact that I 'need' a combo plane. I'm thinking #45 or #55. I wonder which one people like. The #55 looks like a confounding contraption, amazing really. I have no idea what all that stuff is for, but it sure looks cool. What can it do that the #45 can't (and vice versa). Don't ask me what I am going to use these things for, I am not sure yet, beading, mouldings, dados, whatever. There are lots of things these planes can do, and I am going to have to do many of them eventually. Really I am looking for something to give my power router some time off. I want to align my spirit to a more galootish way. Any comments are welcome, and thanks!
