>I hapened to wander into a Woodcraft store last weekend. The sign on the door read "15% off all Lie-Nielsen tools". With a birthday approaching I knew it was my chance.
I darted over to the locked case and spotted the bench chisel set I wanted (5 chisels w/ leather pouch). I had Woodcraft boy open the case. The second I had a chisel in my hand I was sold.
I do not have a comparison to other high quality chisels. My current set has been Marples blue chip. But I can tell you that these are certainly fine tools. Great size (for my hand) and great balance. The profiles are excellent. I think these are a great addition to my shop. If you are in the market, I think these chisels are worth looking at as you decide.
