For both these boxes panels were veneered using plain 'ol yellow glue & clamped in a sandwich of couple of pieces of melamine slightly larger than panels themselves weighed down with anything & everything heavy I could lay my hands on. My nex project is going to be bigger in size. I am thinking of building a coffee table that is square in shape with four panels in the top each of which is going to be veneered. I am thinking of trying to do this using hammer veneering technique. Now that I have rambled on enough, question I have is where can I find a glue pot? I don't think Lee Valley carries one. should I be on lookout at old tools stores/antique stores? or are there new ones available at reasonable prices? Budget is a concern since I don't do this for living.
