>Hi Guys - as some of you already know, I have been in the process of putting together a woodworking CO-OP shop in Worcester, MA. Well, it is now pretty much complete. On Saturday NOV. 12 we are having a little "Open House". The Eastern Massachussets Guild of Woodworkers www.emgw.org will be having their November meeting at the shop and master Carver, Clive Hamilton, will be giving a demonstration and discussion on 18th c style deep releif carving. We'll be getting started around 9:00 AM and Clive will begin his Demo around 10:00. There will be plenty of coffee and Dunky Donuts. I hope that you all can make it. The shop is located at 100 Tainter Street on the corner of Tainter and Gardiner.

Feel free to call me with any questions or just to let me know your coming (don't want to run out of coffee ;-) )

>I forgot to mention a bit about clive...

Clive is truly a master of the craft - he has been carving professionally for over 25 years. He began his career as a production carver in Kingston, Jamaica. Since moving to the US, clive has also began teaching lessons. He has taught at Woodcraft, Tom McLaughlin's school - McLaughlin Woods, and at the Worcester Center for Crafts. Clive also teaches private lessons and has taught students from the North Bennet Street School. It is quite amazing to see the speed and percision with which he works. Below is a picture of a frame I carved after taking a few lessons with him.

>Matthew,

I certainly can't make it, but I wish you a Grand Open House. I'm sure that it will be a smash.
