OT old truck restoration ? *LINK*

My grandfather has what I think is a 1940 Ford 3/4 ton pickup sitting out in his pasture I'm thinking about saving for future restoration. Anybody know what areas where damage would make it uneconomical to restore? I see some areas where the body has rusted thru, but I'm not sure about the actual frame.
It's kind of a neat old truck. It has the same hoodline as the typical 1/2 ton, but the headlights are mounted on top of the fenders verses in the fenders. I'm sure it would cost less to go buy a kia or something, but this would have so much more character, not to mention the fact that it was my grandfather’s. And for the woodworking content, I could harvest a white oak, hedge or something from his farm to do the bed.
What it used to look like.
