I think I may have seen a Diston Ghost
Dale Stansbery
>I was at an auction today and saw the most unusual Diston Saw and medallion. It had Henry Diston Phila in a circle with a keystone center, but no stars, eagle or other marking. BUT, the circle was in a scrolled medallion that covered all 4 screws. It had split nuts, and the tip of the saw was unusual as well. It had a nib, but instead of the tip being blunt, it had a taper at the top and bottom so that it almost looked rounded, or 1/2 of a hexagon. Anyone ever seen this before.
I was bidding away when I realized I was $30 over the cash I had with me since it was at the end of the auction. The other guy got it for $32.50. Probably one I'll regret letting get away for awhile.
