Gloat! The hunt is over!!! (And I met Ernie)

>Ever since the first Galoot BBQ I attended at Darrell LaRue's, I have been wanting a post drill. I hate my floor model Rockwell for the space it takes up and the nerve-shattering "CLANG!" it makes upon start up.
While picking up my oldest from school today, I happened upon an elderly gentleman struggling to move an older power jointer around in his shop (across from the school). Never one to miss talking to another woodworker or lend a hand, I went over to offer my assistance.
We talked for bit about tools. He showed me some of his favourite woodies, saws etc. Behind a large For Sale sign was a post drill in pretty nice shape. More talking and then I asked him if it was really for sale. He named a price ($75) and I said, "Done." So, I am now the proud owner of a Silver Manufacturing No. 1 post drill.
It seems complete. The auto feed works. There is no play in the spindle so the bearings must be ok. The table clamps nice and tight. It's a single speed but the handle is adjustable so as to increase the rpm's. I'm pretty happy. I'll be happier when I can get rid of the existing chuck and mount a modern 3 jaw. Otherwise, it is merely a large paperweight because I have no bits for it. Oh well.
Oh yeah, the guy's name is Ernie. No, not our beloved Rupert Smurf but one heck of a nice guy, just the same. Pictures to follow pending my theft of a digital camera.
