And to think that I was actually USING this...

>When I read yesterday's post about the Little Victor block plane on eBay, I thought "Hey, that looks exactly like my little baby plane!". Checked when I got home from work and sure enough, the plane that I rescued out of my grandfather's jumble of dilapidated tools years ago is a Little Victor. I want to thank Woodburn Bob for his post, and Wayne Anderson for the additional info that he provided. I never would have known its collector value otherwise. I think it's time for me to take the eBay plunge--as much as I enjoy using the plane, I think I would rather have 3 or 4 LN or LV planes instead to round out my arsenal. I did polish the front of the blade, and will be curious as to how that affects the value. Interestingly, although it is a called a block plane the blade is bedded at 45 degrees and therefore mounted bevel down.
