Who uses cross-pein hammers *LINK*

>Hi All,
I read through Chris' blog on woodworking briefly and noted with surprise that the cross-pein hammer (also known in various forms as a Warrington hammer or London-pattern hammer) isn't used much in the US.
I was surprised as we use a cross-pein hammer extensively in Aus for cabinetry and finer work. Claw hammers are used by carpenters and builders predominantly.
Our school classrooms typically have one or no claw hammers and about 12-15 cross-pein hammers as a class set. We are all trained at school to use the Warrington hammer, as a whole.
Just wondering, how common are cross-pein hammers in the US, and who uses one.
Cheers,
Andrew
