New table * PICS
Mitch from NYC
>Here's a photo of a table I just finished. It's an interpretation of a Shaker sewing table made of hard maple, with cherry drawer fronts, pine drawer sides and bottoms, and cocobolo drawer pulls. I did some of the initial milling with powertools, but cut all the joints and did lots of thickness planing by hand in my apartment in Manhattan. The aprons are attached to the legs with double haunched tenons. The drawers are dovetailed (more pictures to come). Dave Jeske turned the pulls based on my design and did an incredible job. Beautiful work, Dave! I got lots of advice from the woodcentral community, so thanks, everyone!
