Big Bertha Blade

>A few weeks ago I picked up this sash blade along with others for a #55. It is the biggest whopping combo plane blade I have ever seen. It is a full 2" wide and the gullet is 1/2". It dwarfs the regular sash. Anyone know anything about it? Perhaps made for stained glass windows?
