I've probably waisted a good two hours today thinking about this since Derek posted it. Following a similar path that LN took in producing HA frogs as accessories, it would be nice if a plane vendor implemented an adjustable angle frog perhaps like the Watkinson that would just replace the fixed frog of their existing bench plane.
Now, How to sell the idea to a plane manufacturer..... ? If I bought one adjustable frog which I could potentially use in a #4.5, #5.5, #6, #7, that would certainly influence future purchases.

I wonder how close to the edge, and how solid the blade support is. It would seem difficult to achieve all this adjustability without compromising.
