American Boy block plane

>Found an American Boy block plane in so-so condition at the flea market today, and for the asking price I passed on it. Got to wondering if it was something of a "real find" tho. Had American Boy in raised letters on the rear of the body. Thought about buying it, but than again I got to thinking that I've got enough block planes. So, did I pass up a jewel?

The interesting thing is

Alister

>that American boy was made by delta specialty company that later turned into Delta Rockwell Co.

Roger k Smith in his listing has them being marketed by woolworths circa 1938.

Who'da thunk it!
