I am looking for a source for wooden vise hardware/threads. I would like to use 1 3/4" dia. threads and I would need two of them along with the wooden nut. Is there a source out there for this item? I searched some on the internet and found clamp makers but nothing of the size I need. I am planning to make a bench similar to Michael Dunbar's in the 'Workbench Book'.

It was acting up after our recent server move, so I archived all the previous messages --wiped the slate clean as it were. It now works like greased lightning. If you are having trouble, it could be because of an old cookie setting, or dueling cookies (if you use two browsers or several different URLS to access the boards) -- or it could be your Cache, especially if you are using a Mozilla based browser like Firefox.
I suggest trying the Looking board again, and if it still doesn't work, clear your WC cookie(s) and if that doesn't work, clear your browser cache. In Firefox, be sure to click the "Clear All" button in order to update the DNS address of the site now that we are on a different name server.
