Thanks for your response below. However, if I may, I'd like to learn more about scrapers.
Presently, when I do scrape (I am an admitted sanding guy) I use a card scraper. Maybe I don't use it often because #1 I am not yet real good at it and #2 I have a hard time getting consistent burs. Both I suppose can be rectified with practice.
But what about scraper planes? Your response below left me wondering if they were really all that useful? When I see the L-N scraper I have wondered if it is an effective tool. Moreover I would like to know how it differs from card scrapers and whether it would be any better suited to impatient barbarians like me rather than struggling with card scrapers?
Can the collective wisdom here help me understand? Thanks!
