>I don't know if anyone has posted about this already, if so sorry -- I was just over at Chris Pye's web site and found that he has written a number of carving manuals which you can download for free. They are short, self-contained lessons in carving, from 10 to about 30 pages long; the one I started reading this evening, "Learning to carve", has some very useful stuff in it.
