>Well, I had noticed that when I tried to chop mortices lately that the shoulder got sore after a few licks. But like a dummy, I just figured I was getting old. Then, I was changing out a faucet and reached my arm out and got a bad twinge in my shoulder. Probably just a touch of the rumatiz. Again and again I ignored the signs. Suddenly this week, I was lifting dumbells and my shoulder gave out totally. Torn rotator cuff. Surgery on the way. No chopping mortices for a while. Well, at least I can still read about what you guys are doing.
The real lesson here is don't pump dumbells while sitting in front of your computer, 'cause when your shoulder blows out, you won't have to worry about missing your monitor as you drop the dumbell.
Or as one of my kind co-workers said, "A dumbell lifting a dumbell? No that doesn't work."
