Small sharpening gloat...

>Received my new LV MKII honing guide last night. I'm very fussy about edges and such, so I tried it out on an old chisel, rather than my LN's.

Anyway, it is fabulous. After you get the bevel angle set on you tool, for future touch-ups, you can just set the guide up 2 deg, and know that the angle will be consistant from honing to honing.

Not LV salesman, just delighted with this guide.

Thanks again Rob........

>I've been on the fence about getting one. I have the old version and it works fine. I even devised a method of squaring (not an original idea, but was inspired). Now I have an extra $39 from my birthday (it was my 39th) and that would almost cover it. Hmmmmm.....one click away! I do need a better way to sharpen my spokeshave blades and my rabbet block plane....hmmmm....
