Unexpected Mini-Gloat

>Went to the recycling depot yesterday and, as usual, looked in the scrap metal bin to check for treasures before leaving. Right on top was a complete intact saw-set. Cleaned it up a bit & found "Triumph" cast inside one handle and "H Disston & Sons Pat Oct 1899" on the other. Wasn't actually in the market for a saw-set, but if the universe is going to hand me one for free I'll certainly take it.

>The dump is too far away, so I go to a transfer station, where treasure hunting is not allowed. I went yeaterday with a load, and one of the workers came over to watch to make sure I wasn't throwing away any forbidden items. She (I'm pretty sure it was a she) looked familiar. I think she used to play line backer for the Raiders. Anyway, she watched me like a hawk the entire time I was unloading the pickup. It worked out, tho. We're going out Wednesday night. I was afraid to say "No".

>See,you did pick up something at the dump.

Time will tell if it turns out to be a useful find or just another addition to the collection.;^)
