Drill bits (and more drill bits)

>I just got through sortin more drill bits than I care to think about. My stepfather had the packrat gene on both sets of chromosomes. Among the twist bits were many auger bits (which now need to be sharpened) for the two braces. Most of the twist bits are being donated (I don't need five lbs of bits). What has me puzzled is the incomplete sets of morse taper bits in #2 and #1. He didn't have a drill press, only hand drills (electric and otherwise). Are there any hand drills which take a morse taper?

>Morse taper bits? If I had those I would not need to use a drill chuck in my lathe tailstock as often. The more parts you add to the process the more chance you have of losing concentricity. MT bits would just pop into the tailstock and away you go, boring yer holes!

Now look what you've gone and done... I gotta get me a set of those bits now! Dang, the shop is overflowing with stuff like that already.
