Now I've done it!

>I recently got the set of 2 DVDs and 2 books authored by David Charlesworth from Craftsman Studio. I have watched the DVDs and read some of both books. He adocates a slightly curved plane iron which seems to make sense looking at his techniques. Unfortunately the DVD set did not come with the 1st DVD. The book shows some of his sharpening technique, but doesn't address low angle irons specifically.

Do any of you practice this technique, specifically with a low angle plane like the Lee Valley Low Angle Jack?

I have this plane and it seems I would need a pronounced curve due to the low angle.

Thanks

>Did you sharpen by hand? use a jig?

How much curve is needed to make it work with low angle?
