Saw ID?

>Bought a back saw off the 'bay. Seller described it as "display grade" and "complete original". The truth is the "apple" handle is beech and appears to be a good user-made one. When I took it off there were four holes for the bolts. The handle had three saw nuts with no medallion. This back saw is 14" with no maker's markings and a steel back that was originally blued. As I said, there are four holes. I would imagine it is American made owing to the steel back. Anybody have an idea who the maker might have been? The four holes should be a big clue to someone.
