Never made sense to me. "Lets fo find some FOD" which meant, "Lets go look for stuff that will/could/can cause damage" but to me meant "Lets go inspect the airplanes for damage"
The damage was FOD, and what causedwas simply a Foreign Object or F-O for short.
Coarse, with that said, and what with my Infantry background if somebody said let's go look for some F-O's I'd interpert that as Foes and grab up my rifle.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhh well, what with the bajillions of Navy acronyms they all can't be spot on.
