>Mr. Hock does not list an iron on his site for the 40-1/2 scrub plane that I could see. "The Best Things" lists a 1-1/4" iron that say is for #40 and #40-1/2 scrub planes. I hope no-one has bought this iron figuring it will fit a #40-1/2 plane. I suppose it will fit if you want 1/4" of slop in the "fit". Just wondering if I will need to order a custom iron to fit my #40-1/2 plane. If so, the iron will definitely cost more than the plane ;)
