>About 40 shop teachers are going to get together in June and make back saws. We either need a source for split screws, or we need to rivit the blade to the handle. Does anyone have a source for split screws, or experience in riviting the blade to the handle? Your help is appreciated.

Leif's site is great and gives a step-by-step of the process he uses. I don't know of anyone offering the traditional split screws except for Lie-Nielsen, I think they're about 5 dollars each. Leif uses saw screws from Ace Hardware; info is on his site.

If you happen across another source for the split-screws, please post it.
