OT - Laser Levels

I have to hang some curtain rods for SWMBO. Two rather large windows, over 8'. Was thinking about picking up a laser level to simplify process. Any of the carpenter's out there have recomendations? The reviews on the net are all over the board.

Thanks,

Gerry

>Hi Gerry!

I've got a small, inexpensive laser level and don't trust over an 8' distance. I've also got a clear plastic tube that I put water in, and I trust it over any distance it can measure. It will never disappoint on levelling.

On another note, I've seen drapery valances hung that were perfectly level but the window they were hanging on was slightly off. The homeowner made us hang them in line with the windows. Just a thought or something to check before you commit.
