Wife gloat

Moses Yoder in White Pigeon, MI

>The 19th of May, next Thursday, will be our 15th anniversary. I planned to do it up big, we will have a small ceremony at our church on Saturday the 21st and the whole family on both sides will be at our house afterwards for a cookout. My wedding ring hadn't been off my finger since the day I was married. Of course, my finger is still growing, so it got to the point where I would have to chop my finger off to get the ring off. So as part of the celebration we are getting new wedding rings, and ordered them last Sunday afternoon from our local mall. I liked the looks of the titanium rings, plus the fact that they are relatively inexpensive, so that is what I'm getting. Megan is getting a very nice engraved white gold ring that is rather expensive, but I insisted she get the one she wanted and the chips can fall where they will. At the party in Indy I had picked up a Lee Valley catalog, the first one I've ever had in the house. The new shoulder planes are on the back cover, and I showed it to her and told her the one I was saving my money for, the large shoulder plane. Yesterday when I got home from work she handed me the plane and said "Happy anniversary". So this morning I have one of the nicest designed planes I've ever seen setting on the desk beside me.

>Small coincidence: Our #16 is the day after your anniversary.

Get that baby honed up nice and sharp, and give us your opinion!

So I assume youll celebrate that evening by going to see Star Wars, right? ;)

Congrats and enjoy the plane.

>Moses,

Did you get plane envy at the Indy gathering? After seeing that large shoulder plane you just had to get one didn't you! My son liked that plane so much that he took it to school to draw it as a still life drawing for his art class. It is a fine looking tool but I have yet to really try it out other than a quick shaving or two.

Enjoy the plane and enjoy the anniversary!
