>Hey Jim -
From an email I got this evening - looks like you and Chico are a magazine tag-team again...
Y'all quittin' your day jobs?
Looks like you're using a bunch of those pens you're turning!
Cheers -
Rob

>Hi Rob,
You know it's funny, Chico has long been an inspiration to my work, we're also good friends...better than that...as good friends we both have a great chance to write for the same magazine and enjoy that too... amazing..We've only ever met once.
Take care,
Jim

>Hi Martin,
Chico and I have been fortunate to have had some of our work published recently in a Canadian wood working magazine. It's hard enough to find up here some times, but given that, it's not on the news stands in the US.
I beleive in this issue Chico wrote about a recent beautiful table he made from purple heart. My article was about my Shaker Workbench, you can see it in Shop Shots.
The Canadian Woodworking Magazine also has a forum that some us participate on, it's a single file, not like WC, but has a great neighbourhood of people from across Canada and some from the US.
Like WC the community is very good and many of us know each other, just yesterday I was speaking with Randy Gillard in Calgary, he was on his way to play golf with Wally in Calgary, it's that kind of group.
Perhaps if You took a look at their site you might find out more.
Take care,
Jim

>Thanks Jim,
I'll be in Montreal later this month, and I get to Toronto frequently for work as well. Toronto has great downtown news stand, right next to Marche', and I think they carry Canadian Woodworking. The Montreal newstand is not as woodworker friendly, so I doubt they will have it. Perhaps I can get a trip to Toronto before the issue changes.
I really like your Shaker bench, and I hope to build one in the same style after I finally get a stand alone woodshop.
I'll be looking for your article in Canadian Woodworking.
