Popular Woodworking seems

Ten thumbs

>....to always take forever to arrive in Memphis. Again, I've been seeing refs to it for awhile on the forum but cannot find it at either of the Borgs, not at Barnes and Noble, not at Borders. Do they distribute according to area of the country? Anyone else have a recurring problem finding it in a timely manner?

>Don't feel bad, I subscribe and have yet to receive my copy in the mail! There has been talk above the June issue on several forums for more than two weeks now!

I contacted PW subscription service and they emailed my that my copy was enroute and I should have it by May 10th!

It's the postal service

Chuck Nickerson

>Magazines are mailed bulk rate. They move from center to center when the bag is full. That's why it ships for a mch lower rate.

>Chuck,

Most magazines, like Populal Woodworking are mailed periodical rate (old 2nd class). This mail is treated about the same as first class. When it arrives at a processing center it is worked the same day or the next if it comes in after dispatch time.

No, it ain't Memphis...

Bill Houghton, Sebastopol, CA

>For one thing, I'm willing to bet that the shopkeepers in Ben Lomond don't say as you leave, "Y'all come back now, y'heah?" which I find utterly charming every time I visit (family on wife's side).

Ten Thumbs

>Yep, some folk roun hyar do have purt near molasses sweet languige. I reckin its most charmin to those what dont heer it ever day. Our redeemin kwality tho.......sure do know how to cook them there bar-bee-kews! More pigs with class prefer to be on a Memphis spit than anywhere else. So many of them come in to town for Memphis in May cook-off, the local pig farms always run out of spare stalls.

>Yeah, me too. I thought that is was the post office, but now I'm not so sure. What is it, about 3 weeks now since the first folks started to get theirs? Bummer, I wanted to read Adam's new article and then send him a scathing email telling him he was all wet. ;-)) It's been almost a month since I either saw him or talked to him.

Last week I received a LN #4 and in the box was a free June addition.

BTW liked the magazine very much
