Chris, question about your A&C book

Pam Niedermayer - Austin, TX

>Chris, it appears that the Limbert Wastebasket project in the PW book "Arts & Crafts Furniture Projects," page 118, has errors in the materials schedule. Specifically, it seems the sides should be about 1/2" x 8" x 18", not 1 x 1 x 18. Moreover, the bottom should probably be 1/2-3/4" x 8" x 8". This was easy enough to figure out, except that I don't know whether the basket is supposed to be straight vertically or flare out a bit at the bottom.

It also made me question the other projects. Is there an erratum listing somewhere? I'd hate to get half way through the entry bench only to find I'd cut it all wrong (btw, biscuits?!).

Thanks,

Pam

>Here are the only corrections I'm aware of to that book:

With the Limbert Bookcase the story says the dado in the bottom should go 2" from the bottom. The drawing shows it at 2-1/2". The drawing is correct.

In the Stickley Side Table the length of the legs (part A) should be 21-1/8".

And some book editor who shall remain nameless messed up the cutlist on the wastepaper basket. Below is a link to the right cutlist.

Got it, thanks.

>I'd say the editor did a pretty good job, not all that many errors. It's also a very good book, love the Limert stuff.
