Need to ID a body......

Todd O. Cronkhite Maine Native in FL. Exile :~(

>A plane body that is, and to be specific it's a round cheek Bedrock which where types 1-4. all I have is the body, no frog, blade/chipbreaker/lever cap, or tote or knob. It does have a frog adjusting screw, No (as in #)606 in front of the knob, and behind the tote is PAT'D APR-2-95. If somebody could tell me type I'd be most grateful as I wish to persure acquiring a frog and it's screws. The blade/chipbreaker and lever cap need not be bedrock and I can make a knob and tote easy enough I'm sure. Just want to get this old soldier back into the battle. I got this body for $0.00 so I guess I could spend a few $ on it easy enough eh?

>This would probably be a type four; the type 3 had a "B" casting mark on the body. The frog would have been the same for types 1-4 except for a slight difference in the lateral adjust lever I think. A type 1-4 frog would fit your plane. Type 5 and later I think has a different angle on the frog, and slightly different machining on the edges I think, although i'm not really an expert, but could probably play one on tv if paid enough.

>So does that mean a 4,6 or 7 frog will fit? Kinda slow this morning.
