Clark & Williams news *LINK*

>Hi Folks,
Had the pleasure of talking with Bill Clark and Larry Williams over the past few days, and came away with a couple of items which may be of interest to others.
Number one, they've completed developmental work on a plough plane, and it should be available later this year. The key technical issue on the plough was making an elliptical skate which enhances the tongue-and-groove mating between skate and iron. Especially down near the cutting edge, where the tongue (on the skate) is set deeply into the iron.
Second thing is of practical interest right now. C&W has announced price increases for the first time in my memory, which goes back several years. HOWEVER, they've got a few articles in inventory which were made under the old prices, and which therefore will be sold under the old prices. Bill mentioned a few smoothers, a jack or two, and three jointers.
There's a link down below to the planes. If the site listing has a red asterisk by it (*), that means there's a few left at the old price. For example, the old jointer price was $365 if I'm remembering right, and they're listed at $425 now. I mention the jointers especially, cause that was some of the best money I ever spent.
Larry has written up a piece on the plough, which is in the 'Articles' section.
No financial or other interest, I send them money, they send me planes.
