A spoon.

Ed Snow

>I love things to do, I escpeically love things to do when I cannot sleep, so I must love spoons too. In fact I would wager I might have an addiction to making things in the wood shop. I nabbed a piece of scrap from my bench neighbor and had at it.

I cut it close but I made it in an hour. Tools utilized; draw knife, flat spoke shave, a cigar shave, #9 gouge, a curvy scraper, a back saw, and a piece of 220 grit paper. I wish I had had a bow saw to cut out the profile but I did not so I hogged it all out with the draw knife.

I know it is horrible to put the spoon there, but in the last picture you can see the two of the three other things I created this last month. The lamp took more than an hour, the little table with the help of power tools took a little over eight hours.
